I just wanted to make a note that I have been wearing the Aviator Cap since 2009- back when I was afraid that people would think I was emulating Hilary Swank in the ill-fated “Amelia” movie.  SO PRADA- I think you best give credit where credit is due.

I’ve had beef with Halle Berry for years.  While I love to see titties win Academy Awards as much as the next guy- getting up onstage to accept an award on behalf of Black women everywhere as your white mama looks on from the crowd never sat well with me as a mixed-race person.  If I won an Academy Award I don’t think anyone, including myself, would let me get away with accepting it behalf of Japanese women- cuz I’m not a Japanese woman- I’m a 1/2 Japanese Woman.  I’m also 1/2 white and it’s not all that bad Halle!  

Now I hear that on top of her epic custody war with Versace model Gabriel Aubry she has declared of her baby daughter: “I feel she’s black. I’m black and I’m her mother, and I believe in the one-drop theory.”  Dude- give a white guy (A FRENCH CANADIAN at that) his propers!  That girl is 1/4 Black, 1/4 White, and HALF QUBECOIS!  Call it like it is!  Let the girl grow up as a proud mixed-race person! 

There are plenty of us out there- sexy, strong, comfortable with our medium tans and with who we are.
